After 5 schools, the PTSD of several phone calls per day from administrators/teachers/staff, countless suspensions, restraints and seclusions for 7 years. This is what healing looks like! Thank the Lord. I found out about Peaceful Worlschoolers through Facebook. While all faiths, genders, and walks of life are welcome to the umbrella organization; Angela is a bible believing Christian, and openly shares her faith. This is a nonjudgemental group. We joined in the middle of the school year and were welcomed right into the group. My son and I enjoy the weekly field trips with our county group and any of the others if we see trips that interest us. I was concerned because he's struggled making friends and getting along with others in the past; both of us are neurodivergent. But, we've made connections! My son is flourishing under this homeschooling umbrella. He is willingly reading and doing real world math on the fly without any pressure for the first time since he was 6 (he's 9 now). By the grace of God, both of us are beginning to come out of burn out.Posted on Google

I’ve been involved with quite a few other homeschooling groups ranging from structured co-op programs to parent run field trip planning and curriculum sharing groups. I have never seen a homeschool community that is this actively engaged in supporting other homeschool families. It feels like we’re all playing on the same team and everyone is committed to the whole team’s success. There are countless resources being shared within the various parent chats hosted by WhatsApp (even specialized groups for families that are homeschooling neurodivergent kids, or groups for middle and older teens looking to make new homeschooled friends) and so many people are happy to offer suggestions, advice, or share stories if you’re seeking guidance about an obstacle you’re facing with your homeschooling. Delilah Ranae9 March 2025Words cannot express how thankful my family is for the Peaceful Worldschoolers homeschool umbrella. As a new homeschool family…we had all the initial worries and concerns. Angela (M.Ed), the founder/former public school educator, has worked hard (and continuously does so) to create a space for families to have full control over how they decide to educate their children. Socialization is usually a big concern for new homeschool families, but with PWS each region (in MD) has a “Coordinator” that plans weekly activities and field trips that are educational, engaging, and a great social resource! You can be as active as you choose to be without any pressure. It’s wonderful! We highly recommend Peaceful Worldschoolers if you’re looking for a MD approved homeschool umbrella. You will not regret it!!! I can confidently say it’s been the best decision we’ve made since moving to Maryland and deciding to home educate.Posted on Google
Amanda Eberhardt9 March 2025We have been homeschoolers for over a decade, but when we moved to MD in 2023 I found myself needing a new umbrella and homeschool community. I came across Peaceful Worldschoolers right as it was beginning, but chose to look elsewhere. I regret that! After being denied by a few other organizations solely for being Christian(even though their statement says they accept everyone), we joined PW! My family loves the community being fostered with this umbrella and the love of learning is present in all of the weekly field trips. Everyone from all walks of life are welcome, which only enhances the community of PW. I am so relieved to have found such an amazing umbrella for my family to grow with, and we love meeting everyone from all over the state! Now that PW is expanding to other states, I share with my friends and family all over the country. I'm so excited to see what my children learn and accomplish over the next several years with PW.Posted on Google
